“You’ll make friends when they’re in school”
Is this true for you? I barely know what the school looks like inside, nevermind ever meeting other parents.
I sincerely appreciate the security and streamlined effort for transportation—but since joining our school this past fall, I have zero of community with neighborhood parents.
There’s no pancake breakfasts, show and tell, story time with the class, what’s your occupation or anything like that. I can eat lunch with my kid if I give notice but I am craving connection to other parents in our stage.
Just wondering if this is the new reality of school-aged parenting in 2025.
