Sickness

Hey guys. Please forgive formatting, I’m on mobile. I started semaglutide in the beginning of February on the lowest dose. I felt pretty sick, but it was manageable. Last month I moved up to the next higher dose, and I became so incredibly ill that I was almost completely incapacitated. Standing up or laying down made me so nauseous I had to go and throw up. I wasn’t able to eat more than 3-500 calories a day if I was able to eat at all. My acid reflux was so insanely bad that I’d wake up with bile in my mouth, even while taking a prescription omeprazole. This month I went back to the original lowest dosage, but I’m still so sick I cannot move or eat. Anti-nausea medications do not help. My doctor doesn’t seem very concerned. I am either asleep or in the bathroom. My stomach muscles are so incredibly sore and weak that I can’t even pick my cat up. It’s gotten to the point that my partner has asked me to stop the medication. I don’t know what to do. Was it this bad for anybody else? I keep seeing people posting about working out and getting outside but I am bedridden. I’m broken-hearted and so desperate for this to work.

ETA: After reading these comments and doing a lot more research, I’m realizing that I shouldn’t have been trusting my doctor as much as I have been, and that I need to be more proactive in my research. I was started on .5 as my starting dose, and was upgraded to the next dose after just one month when I was still losing weight and feeling sick. She told me that it was normal to double the dose each month until at the highest dose and acted like I was wimping out when I told her I felt incredibly sick. Not sure what else to say other than it really sucks.
