I thought I was one of the lucky ones... 🚽☣️
Hello again. I am writing this while trapped on the toilet.
I have been blowing ass for HOURS (since about 3:30am... it is currently 6am as I type this) and my body is threatening to reject the sandwich I ate a few hours ago from the opposite end. I'm not feeling as pretty as I did while writing my last post on this sub, that's for sure.
This is my fifth week (my sixth dose is in 2 days) and I am currently on 0.5mg. I've experienced a bit of mild nausea within seconds of my injections so far and a bit more constipation than I'm used to... but tonight? Oh my god. I thought I was one of the lucky ones who only got the positive side effects. How wrong I was.
I was experiencing lower stomach cramps and initially thought it was a sign that Shark Week was coming early... but then the urge to fart was upon me. Let me tell you, it was very good thing that I listened to my gut (pun intended) and didn't trust the urge or tonight could've gone a lot differently for me and my velvet couch.
I have an important meeting in about 3 hours but I'm debating taking a sick day. I feel dreadful right now 😭😭😭 I'm not exactly sure what medication to take to counter the diarrhea and nausea (gravol maybe?) but the pharmacy doesn't open for a while.
Soooo yep. 1 episode of blowing ass out of 5 weeks doesn't seem too bad, but we'll see how this plays out. It's uncomfortable and inconvenient but the good has outweighed the bad by a pretty huge margin so far.
TL;DR: if you're on Ozempic and things seem to be going a bit too well... don't trust the fart.
UPDATE: Gravol and Immodium did nothing. I took some Pepto Bismol and was cured. Ate some toast, slept for 12 hours straight and woke up feeling like a new person.
The jury is still out on whether it was the Ozempic, a stomach bug, or food poisoning. I've had the latter two before and usually they involve puking for me. I never threw up yesterday (thank god, cuz I'm still healing from nasal surgery), just had some burps and a bit of stomach pain.
UPDATE 2: I am confident it's the Ozempic. It has been almost a week of diarrhea. The stomach cramps were mostly due to my period. I called my pharmacist to see if there was anything else he could prescribe and he told me to pop 2 Immodium liqui-gels and then 1 additional Immodium every time I have a super loose bowel movement (max 8 a day). This advice helped me finally leave the house.
I hope this ends soon cuz it is uncomfortable af and embarrassing. I bought a flat of Gatorade to help me stay hydrated and keep my electrolytes up in the meantime.
