MSI 271QRX QD-OLED 360hz - Flickering

I've seen a lot of reviews on this monitor that mentioned flickering while using free sync, I get flickering on a lot of my games especially in dark scenes. I learned to deal with it, The monitor is amazing regardless but now I'm curious to know if its a software or hardware issue? And are there any settings that can minimize the flickering ?
