Career Change - Police to Nursing

Hey all,

Not sure how much traction this will gain as it's a pretty niche situation. I've currently been a Police officer for about 4 years. Have always looked at doing nursing as I don't necessarily see myself being a cop long term. I would have to engage in remote study, and I've been looking at JCU. What are the experiences like? Or am I better to do a part time fee-free tafe course then move over to Bachelors? I looked at ACU as they do a Bach Of Nursing/Bach of Paramedicine but ive seen mixed reviews on them. Is it possible to do Bach Nursing and then do a postgrade or get RPL for Paramedicine?

Ideally would like to go into ER nursing, as I feel this would probably suit the high intensity workload I'm used too. Any insights anyone can provide on this would be great. I'm in my late 20's so not exactly mature aged student but would also like to know what the general environment of nursing is like, especially since by the time I finish my degree I'll be in my 30s. Cheers all.
