Lots of blood 2 weeks pp?

I’m 2 weeks pp - my bleeding seemed to have tapered off almost completely and then 3 nights ago I got a huge gush with clots. It didn’t last too long, went away but then came back last night and again same thing today/tonight. I called my doc who said this is normal and as long as it doesn’t get worse and doesn’t soak through a pad an hour I’m ok, but i just feel like it’s weird that it gets better and then gushes around the same time each evening. Anyone else experience this?
