Literally nothing is changing with AI Monitoring
1) Free speech generally only applied to the government. When you are dealing with private companies they can do things to protect their brand. Being known as the most toxic game in existence does not help sales of COD.
2) Their policy has not changed if it was going to get you banned before it will get you banned now. The only change is the fact that it won’t take someone getting mad at you for it to happen. There is also a human element to this so it’s not like a bot is the judge, jury, and executioner.
3) Just because it’s rated M doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to be racist and generally harass people. We have literally all heard it and the game would be better off without it. Some mild toxicity can be hilarious but we all know there are too many instances when it’s someone threatening someone or dropping the hard ER because they can hide behind a computer screen.
There are plenty of valid concerns around privacy and AI having difficulty distinguishing between good natured joking among friends but for the most part all I see and hear is the most toxic among us upset that they won’t get to rage at kids because they literally just started playing. At the end of the day if you don’t want this to effect you just use discord.
