Is Ghost metal?

I've heard people say ghost is metal, and also that they are not metal?

So i pose the question here. Is Ghost metal, why or why not?

PS. I want real reasons. I don't want to hear that you hate them, so they aren't metal. I don't care about whether or not you like them.
