Car stopped blowing heat and started overheating when accelerating
As title suggests, on my drive home from the gym this evening I noticed my car was not blowing hot air at all. A few minutes after my realization when I got a few blocks from my home I noticed it was beginning to overheat whenever I would accelerate and stop at stop signs/red light.
Checked the coolant by running the car with the rad cap off to see if any bubbles burped up but I only noticed the coolant boiling? Also noticed fans didn’t turn on when car got to operating temp but once it overheated were running full blast.
Car ran fine just this morning on my way to work. Is there anything I should look at first and foremost that doesn’t require me to rip the engine apart? Car is a 2007 bmw x3 (I know…) thanks in advance for any help
