Can I get free choice by taking a course during the summer?

I was recently admitted to engineering 1 at McMaster. I have a 96.2% average and from what I understand the cut off for free choice this year is 96.5%. If I take a course during the summer (after June 30) to raise my average by 0.3% can I still get free choice? I emailed McMaster about this and got a response from someone who I don’t think even read what I wrote which was just basic information copy and pasted from the McMaster website with my name misspelled. Does anyone actually know the answer to this?
