Can I Sideload apps?

I've heard you could run native android on the light phone, but I just want certain apps on there but still have the amazing ui. Basically the normal phone but just add the app to the tool box. If anyone knows if you can please let me know! (I'm very grateful but I don't want to hear about different phones please)
