Do jerseys run small or large? Also, recommend Authentic or Replica?

I recently bought a Large replica Mexican national team jersey (the peacock one), and I was surprised how thin it was width wise compared to a regular Large t shirt. Do LAFC jerseys also run small? Should I get a size up?

Also, I want an Authentic but Ive heard bad stuff about the quality like patches and shoulder stripes peeling off?
