Allergies

For the past week now I’ve been coming up in hives on my wrist and extreme burning/ peeling of my lips. I’ve been trying to rule out what is causing it. Today, the hives came up about 10 mins after levothyroxine. I’ve had nothing else other than water. Can you develop an allergic reaction to a medication that you have taken for over 10 years, and very suddenly?
