Slightly morbid question…

…but what were your - for lack of a better word - favourite murder(s) from the entire show? (Not limited to the ones committed by Hannibal)

Personally I have 3

1) Primavera murder - It was from Pazzi’s flashback of when he was on the Il Monstro case. I am an artist myself, and an ex criminology student who was studying to become a homicide detective before pursuing my art career, so this murder sets my mind on FIRE. I would have loved for that display to have been dissected by Will (timeline is wrong I know) because meaning of the Primavera painting is unknown, although it’s said that the painting foreshadows a spring wedding. The particular figures depicted in the murder are Zephyrus, the west wind, who is attempting to grab Chloris, a nymph. Regardless of whether Hannibal did this simply to show his appreciation for the painting, or whether there was a deep rooted message in it, it shows off Hannibal’s exquisite taste and class.

2) Beverly Katz - As sad as this was for me because I enjoyed Beverly’s character, the way she was displayed sent a chill down my spine the first time I watched that episode. I can’t really put it into words - She was the one who pulled apart crime scenes, bit by bit, every tiny detail. She was inside Hannibal’s home, trespassing in his eyes, invading his privacy, so he pulled her apart the way she does the evidence, and left her out for everyone to see. No privacy. Insides for every to see. Chilling.

3) Judge Davies - This one also gave me chills. The message was loud and clear. Justice is blind (eyes were covered), mindless, (brain was removed) and heartless (heart was removed). That’s the Chesapeake Ripper screaming in your ear. Bold. Loud. Confident. Right under everyone’s noses in a damn courthouse. Hung in chains. Crazy. The hysteria a crime like this would cause in the real world puts into perspective how terrifying the Ripper is.

I have trouble articulating my thoughts with words, which is why I stick to artwork, but I hope I was able to express things properly.
