How do I make my hair look like a boy?

I'm posting here because you guys probably know more about this stuff. Please don't judge me, but I'm trans.

One of the main things that irritates me is my girly hair. I always have my hair up because I can't stand seeing it. Cutting my hair short is not an option because of my mum.

I'm just wondering if there's a way I can make my hair look like a boys from the front, but I have no hair covering my forehead. I'm not good at explaining but my hair is like only on the sides (also long and straight)

I can mimic it by tying my hair up and flipping it over my forehead with a hoodie up or a hat but it literally makes me look like a 12 year old boy, (I'm only 14 tho so it doesn't bother me). I'm just not sure how I can cut my hair so I get hair covering my forehead. Also I want to be able to hide it by like putting it to the sides. Or if I should go to the hairdressers (I'd have no idea what to ask and again, I can't make it obvious)

Idk about this hair stuff, I just don't want to mess something up. Please give advice if you know about these things
