Did Erics have any discernible interests?

Out of the eight main or side-main characters (Blair/Serena/Chuck/Dan/Nate/Jenny/Eric/Vanessa), Eric was the only one who didn't seem to have any core interests, unless I have forgotten. For Blair, it was fashion/business/literature. For Chuck it was real estate/business. For Serena, it was travelling/exploring/PR. For Dan it was literature/writing/film. For Vanessa it was filmmaking/activism. For Nate it was sports/journalism (and later also politics). For Jenny it was fashion design/business/art. But Eric didn't seem to have any core interests and it pissed me off, the writers pissed me off, I mean. Eric was one of my fave characters, he was nice and chill and smart, but didn't have any defining interests.
