Vanessa blackmailing Blair

This was a very aggravating moment. Vanessa constantly puts down the UES world and acts like she's above all the scheming, yet she doesn't hesitate to blackmail Blair into getting her petition signed. It was such a pathetic power play. What Blair did to her in retaliation was obviously awful and much worse, but did Vanessa really expect nothing to happen?
