The end of Nate and Vanessa

It’s no secret that people hate Vanessa, and she definitely gets under my skin most of the show, but the first 2 seasons, I actually like her and think she’s a more grounded and self aware version of herself. I loved her and Nate’s relationship. The chemistry they had was electric and their sweet moments made me smile. However, like with any show I understand a break up had to come. I simply wish it would’ve come about differently. Blair and Nate part 2. felt like a waste of time. There was already too much chemistry between Blair and Chuck for the Chuck vs Nate plot to succeed. I was not interested in seeing them vie for Blair’s attention it was boring. Breaking them up because Vanessa couldn’t accept that Nate wanted to explore his privilege is fine, but forcing a Blair and Nate reunion was so yuck, and it makes Nate seem like a dishonest selfish scumbag for hurting Vanessa like that. If they were going to go that route, they should’ve dropped Aaron Rose storyline and gave us Nate and Serena earlier than season 3. It would make more sense and further Vanessa’s dislike for Serena who would’ve won the attention of 2 boys Vanessa had deep feelings for and could’ve made the Vanessa Serena rivalry far more interesting.
