The United States is a great country with tons of amazing opportunities.

There’s a lot of political post complaining about the United States. I understand that the United States is the most popular country on this subreddit by far by why is it always negative. I feel like this is a great county with tons of opportunities.

Example of complaints:

Complains about women not dating you yet never ask women out. I’ve got tons of problems with my looks yet I still have an insanely hot girlfriend because I asked her out.

Complains about finding a job yet never spent any time building up a skill. I went to the cheapest college in my home state and graduated in three years with a computer science degree. I spent a ton of time during that period working on my coding skills on my own time. I landed the first job I applied to and am still at that job 4 years later. Even if I didn’t land the first job I applied to I was close to landing the second job I applied to but stopped the interviewing process because I already landed my more desirable job.

Complains about buying a house yet never creates a budget or never creates a savings plan to see how long it will take them to buy a house. Buying a house is not rocket science. Save money each month until you have enough to for a downpayment and closing cost. Then buy a house that you can afford. I bought my house at 23. I started working full time post college at 22 and I lived below my means for a year and saved $1,000 a month to buy a house. So in one year I had $12,000 to buy a house and I bought a small 1000sq ft house for $145,000 while making $65,000.

Complains about something abstract like our whole political system, racism, hate etc. yet never gives any tangible actions on how to fix the abstract problem and never quantifies what solving the problem looks like.

In the United States you can be the best version of yourself. The existing infrastructure, systems, and industries are in place that allows tons of people to be successful with minimal effort. The biggest problem in people life is that they don’t want to put in the minimal effort. They expect to put in absolutely no effort and have things fall out of the sky to massively improve their life.
