Je vais prendre, j'amerais, ou je voudrais?

When I'm at a restaurant, which phrase would I use here? From what I know, 'je vais prendre' is a very informal one and shouldn't be used much. Is that true? If it is, which of the other two is more fitting (I would like or I would want)?
