Base Lariat and remote start

So I plan on buying the Base Lariat, I don’t want to spend the money on the Lariat Lux package. But I would like to have remote start. I know ford pass will do it. So that will work.

But what I was wondering was if I bought the key fob with the remote start, shouldn’t I be able to go to a dealership and have that programmed to work?

Or is there something else I need?
