Recession?

There are a lot of fears of an upcoming recession. This is causing me a lot of stress because I don’t know if we should wait to buy a house or not. We got a pre-approval for a mortgage. We both have recession proof jobs in theory. We both work in healthcare. We also live in a state that will be short 150k houses in 5 years. I’m worried if we wait, the housing prices will continue to sky rocket. Advice is much appreciated.
