Green homes : do buyers really care ? (academical)

I am conducting a research on how green certifications and sustainability features influence decision making in real estate.

Over the years, the supply of "green" buildings rose significantly from the supply side, but do buyers really care ? How important are these aspects in their process of decision making when buying or renting ?

As a result, I am conducting a short survey, and I would greatly appreciate your input and also comments to discuss different view points.
