Managed to get a role on my first Feature Film Production. Any Advice?"

Hello everybody,

I'm based in the UK and I fortunately got a role as a AC/1st Camera Assistant in an upcoming indie feature film being made later this month. I graduated studying film production a couple of years ago and haven't worked on a feature film before and I'm a bit nervous. I wouldn't consider working with cameras as my strong point, as I'm more experienced with Directing, writing and most of all editing. I'm approaching this with as much eagerness as possible and excited for the experience but I really don't want to show up and immediately be out of my depth.

I was hoping for some advice whether that is ranging from general advice about being on a proper film set, specifically about being an AC or just small things like what is useful to have on my person on set. Perhaps even experiences that you've learned from yourselves.

Also possibly things I should go and research like specific equipment, certain kinds of cameras etc.

Thanks so much guys :)
