How to get started?

So, this is my first time with Linux and I installed Fedora a while back. I have been wanting and trying to move away from Windows entirely but I have had issues with the most basic of functionalities which force me to keep windows around. Recently I was having issues which I posted about, tried the suggestion, nothing happened but about a week later I boot into Fedora and it was working out of nowhere. Again, I can't have this seemingly random behavior if I am solely reliant on something. Similarly, my games turn into slideshow when I try playing them on Fedora.
I would like to know if just going through Fedora and Gnome documentation will give me enough info to fix most of the issues, or do I need to know about other resources as well? I'd like to not have to roll dice each time I choose to boot into fedora.
These issues while not major on paper have made me consider removing fedora completely and settle with windows.
Thanks
