Why do people use Wattpad at all?

Sorry if I sound arrogant or ignorant.

But why do people use Wattpad at all? This isn't criticism against the community (writer & readers) but against the website itself, specifically, its layout.

The space where the text is is horrible, the website constantly harasses you to log in, and there is a header that follows you, taking even more space that the text could occupy. It makes your eyes want to focus on anything but the text.

edit : I was using better Wattpad interface in the screenshot but that doesn't disprove my points
