Why everyone running EOTech holos?

I haven't seen a singular "geared" person use a red dot this wipe, I came back to the game after a long long time when everyone was using legendary Pk-06, but now I feel like most of the red dots have a bad dot, so I'm guessing that's why everyone uses holos? Also BSG payed by EOTech maybe ?
