Do double claw prongs add security or snag?

Hi! I’m designing my engagement ring, which is between 3-4 carats elongated cushion. With security of the stone as top priority I decided on double claw prongs. Recently I’ve seen some posts about claw prongs, especially double claw prongs, snagging on fabric and coming loose. I’ve also seen conflicting things about double prongs being purely for aesthetics, and that they actually don’t add security. Is this true? Should I switch to half bezel?
