Cant upgrade stalls with Scrooge - Stuck in a loop

Whenever I try and buy an upgrade for Tiana's stall or Moana's fishing boat, my screen goes black and then whenever I click, it just goes back to the payment screen and repeat and I get stuck in a loop. The only way to leave the dialogue is to force close the game. Is anybody else experiencing something similar?
