Need inspiration

These rooms need some spark and I'm eager to get started, but I could def use some inspiration. I've decided that I want a warm and cozy atmosphere with some natural colors. The living room feels small and the dark furniture doesn't help. Would painting the furniture and adding color to the walls help? What else could use a change?

Also, the bathroom is quite small and narrow. How can I brighten it up and make it seem bigger than it actually is? Wouldn't mind painting the tiles, the cupboards/drawers and changing the shower setup.
