Creature Commandos' Frankenstein and portrayal of body dysphoria.

So I just caught up on the latest (fourth) episode of Creature Commandos. I enjoyed the whole thing greatly. But one scene stood out to me in particular.

The scene in which Frankenstein spies on Bride from the helicopter and sees her talking to Rick Flag. This misguided, egotistic, deeply insecure, toxic masculinity fueled manchild throws a truly absurd temper tantrum about his beard. And the scene was kinda funny, kinda pathetic, but most of all, it hit very close to home.

The kind of absurd line of thinking "I see two people having a positive interaction" -> "Everyone in this room thinks less of me because of my facial hair" felt IMMENSLY relatable in a way that I've never experienced before. It's an incredibly silly behavior from him, and it's an incredibly silly behavior of me. And I know it's silly, but that doesn't mean it hurts any less, and seeing it portrayed like that... I guess it makes putting two plus two together a bit easier.

So, thanks Creature Commandos for helping me out with my dysphoria <3
