Did I shoot myself in the foot?

Tomorrow is my 6th statement with chase, I was going to wait until tomorrow to see if they offered me a credit limit increase. But I ended up calling customer service to ask them if I should be expecting a credit limit increase after my 6th statement posts and they told me that it's not a guarantee and that waiting the extra day for my 6th statement to post wouldn’t make any difference. So I ended up applying on the phone and got approved.

They raised my limit from 1k to 2k, but i can't help but wonder if i shot myself in the foot by accepting this limit and not waiting the extra day? Should I have waited until the 6 month mark? Would that have mattered at all?

At this point it doesn't really matter I'm happy and grateful I got an increase but just curious what y'all think.

Also, does accepting a manual increase reset the clock for auto increases? For example let’s say chase was going to auto increase my limit tomorrow, am I no longer eligible for that auto increase because I just did a manual increase?
