Need help reassuring my partner

Looking to relocate to CT (open to areas but looking at Willimantic, Norwich, Farmington, Avon) were from the UK but both work remotely and I love CT! My partner is not convinced and feels that the US isn’t as safe as the UK. I have spent some time in CT and found it safe and friendly but he hasn’t. We’re coming over together to spend time and look at some Houses but I’m worried he’s not coming with an open mind! Can anyone offer any tips or places to take him to reassure him and make him see how great it is!

Also we will not be needing schools or to commute as we both wfh so as long as we are in half hour drive from decent coffee, a gym and a grocery store we are happy!
