25565 Port not opening

After Xfinity started forcing people to use their app to port forward, it genuinely just doesn't work. I'm trying to open port 25565 for hosting a Minecraft server but no matter what I do in the Xfinity app the port won't open after checking multiple websites, and having a friend try to join my server. I've used the "Minecraft" preset in the port forwarding menu, manually put in the TDP/UCP ports, made firewall rules, even disabled the firewall, and the port still doesn't open. I've tried doing the chat assistant trick, but the port still doesn't open. Has anyone found a solution?
