genuinely do not understand this argument
feel free to explain this to me because I actually do not understand.
there’s an argument i keep seeing flitting around on tiktok. basically the idea is “you can’t cosplay as a character from a series aimed at adults in cos because kids play it.”
and like. i do not understand this. as long as you aren’t actively being inappropriate, who gives a fuck? i do not want to parent someone else’s kid on a Roblox game.
to me, cosplaying in this game is like wearing a shirt in a mall. if you wear a pennywise shirt out in public, and it’s not inappropriate, who cares? a kid might see it, but it’s literally just a character.
“oh but that child might then seek out xyz media and be exposed to it!!!1!” ok cool, not my problem! not only are there warnings and ratings attached to these properties, but im not a parent!
talking about this media is an entirely different can of worms. my take is as long as you preface it’s media for adults and you’re not being weird about it it’s fine.
idk, feel free to correct me if im wrong i just do not get this argument. i feel like it’s specifically made to target hazbin cosplayers (im not one of those, i can’t comment on the show or its contents because I haven’t seen it) cause i never see this mentality applied to like…Peter Griffin Eulopis.
rant over I want to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.
