Cavapoo or Mini Poodle?

We are looking at getting our first dog together. We want something for a smaller space, that will one day be good with kids, easy to train, not too energetic (eg: will be fine with one or 2 short walks per day).

We love the mini poodle, and also like the cavapoo. Some people have said Cavapoo's are calmer than mini poodles?

What would you go for?
