Wanting to move across the country.

Just for context I (21 m) am Canadian and live in Ontario. I want to move to Alberta and every fiber of my being is telling me to just go for it, if I don’t I’ll regret it. Part of me is telling me that if I go, I’ll regret it or something at home will go wrong while I’m away. I guess my question is, has anyone else been in my situation before? Have you moved across the country? Was it worth it?
