Loveland worth it for lessons?

Hear me out. Lifelong snowboarder, east coast. I have an Indy Pass, so get 2 full days at Loveland. I've always wanted to learn to ski.

Here's the plan: Morning 3 hour ski lessons, followed by the remainder of the day snowboarding. Is this smart or stupid? I've heard great things about Loveland instructors; is it worth the trip for this, or should I stick to snowboarding for the full days and learn at my small hill?
