COPD question

Hi. I'm 62. About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with the "beginning stages" of COPD and emphysema.

Obviously I hope something else does me in (like car accident, heart attack, etcetera) but worst case scenario, how does this end?

Will I be laying in a hospital bed choking on my lung fluids? Or have one of those tubes down my throat?

I imagine suffocation is not pleasant. Maybe they give you morphine or something else to ease the suffering. Idk but tbh, I'm kinda worried 😳

Best case scenario is all I can do is sit at home in front of the TV while on oxygen. I could manage that...

Any insight to advanced stages of the COPD and emphysema?
