DSE Composite Score Analysis

Here is my analysis of DSE Composite Score.

Let's consider the person with 93.03 who got admitted to BA. Call him X. It is possible that his friends or competitors also got same CAT percentile but acads may be different.

Clearly, a person with a lower percentile didn't get in. Hence there are a few possibilities. His friends CAT score is as follows:

Y got 93.03 Z for 94 P got 94 Q got 95 R got 95

Let's assume marks in 10th and 12th: X: 20 (best possible) Y: 19 Z: 18 P: 19 Q: 18 R: 19

Composite Score will be: X: 94.424 Y: 93.424 Z: 93.2 P: 94.2 Q: 94 R: 95

Since X is the last candidate, it is likely that his composite score is 94.424 and hence that is the cutoff.

We can calculate that only X and R got admission and others didn't get admission because of lower acads.
