Should I go for CAT?

Background - 9/9/7 (7.97), Btech from a 2nd Gen IIT.

2024 grad, currently working in an indian bank as a data scientist. Earning around 16-17LPA.

(GEM) Have a PWD certificate too, for 40% disability, though have never used it, neither for JEE admission (didn't have it back then).

Should I prepare for CAT'25 or CAT'26? Given the competition for GEMs for ABCs, or just continue working in tech? I enjoy working in ML, but the slow career trajectory for UGs here is a bummer, and I don't plan on doing a masters in DS/ML, whereas an MBA seems like an easy eay to careermaxing and achieving my financial and professional goals easily.

Inhibitions - the opportunity cost, leaving my salary for 2 years AND paying a fees too, recovering which might take me 4-5 more years atleast. Even though my family can easily fund my fees, I would prefer doing it myself. The other inhibition is that is it even as lucrative as it looks from the outside world? Till my final year I used to think that MBA is for people who can't do anything after their UG, but have very recently been exposed to careers in consulting, IB, PE etc. Thus I have very little knowledge to compare.
