Newbie question incoming–

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but, I am really new to wuwa, and I am still learning the mechanics... I am pulling for changli + her sig, but I also want brant to solely buff her. I doubt I will have enough time to grind out for his weapon if I lose the 50/50 on him, and I'm putting Brant as a healer/sub-dps so, is his weapon needed? Or can I skip it until rerun?
