Boomers really love to complain to me and always regret it
I don’t know why I am a boomer complaint magnet in public, especially when it comes to waiting in lines at the store… but I am. For reference I’m a woman in her 20s who always has some version of brightly colored super short pixie hair and alt overall vibe. Usually they hate that but in lines? It screams “complain about how nobody wants to work anymore”. It’s gotten to the point that if there’s a boomer behind me I know it’s coming. But here’s the kicker… they’re always SHOCKED that instead of “yeah this 5 minute wait is soooo awful bad lazy cashier bad” they get effectively a TED Talk about how companies don’t pay enough and that nobody should be forced to work jobs they’re abused by customers at for shit pay and no benefits. At this point, it’s gotten to be quite the educational speech and they usually say “ok ok I got it ok” and I hold them hostage with even more until I get checked out haha. It’s my own flavor of justice. We all have our opinions and politics and I’m not debating that, but by now I thought I gave off “flaming liberal/socialist” vibes and yet they still try it haha.
