Combat Patrol balance

Just came back from a fun casual game of CP against Grey Knights. We had a good match and I eventually won the game 35-10. But therein lies my question: it kinda felt unbalanced. I used the regular CP units and he did too, but aside from the shooting phase being kinda meh for BT I lost almost no units and he lost all of them in 3 rounds total.

Was it me being a superior player in this matchup or just a balancing thing? How have your CP experiences been so far?
