Crying bc I feel crazy: I can’t find them

For a few weeks, I’ve been smelling a cocoa odor at the foot of my bed, and a few days ago I found some reddish stains on 2 of my clothes, which worried me. Today, I found something that looked like a bed bug, but it was trapped in the weave of my pajamas, and I couldn’t make out its shape well. The mattress has no animals; I only found one in a drawer near an old shirt along with some very old red stains. So, I decided to empty EVERYTHING out of the bed cabinet, completely. I just washed all the surfaces with 90% alcohol and used an antistatic product. Now I have all my clothes in plastic bags on the floor, how do I treat them? I can’t throw them away because I can’t afford new ones, and they are almost all a polyester blend. I don’t have a dryer and live far from any. So, a dryer and washing machine are out of the question due to unavailability or temperature. Does washing the clothes with soap help, or is a very high temperature still needed? I don’t have a big freezer too. I can use it only for some things like socks.

Does ironing them with steam mode, as much as possible, help? Can clothes that seem free of animals or eggs be considered clean? Is it possible that there are no other bugs, or could it be another animal?

I have books, can them be there? How can I treat them? I’ve really taken everything apart, I feel like I’m going crazy and I’m so tired I’m crying.
