Are there many online players in BF3?

Battlefield 3 was my first Battlefield game ever. My father introduced me to it and we were always playing it. BF3 was our favorite game, memories of Team Deathmatch on Nousher's Canals are still giving me chills. Metro operation was the best operation in the whole Battlefield series.

I was wondering if there are still a solid playerbase playing on PC on EU servers. What's your experience? On steamcharts it's around 300-350 players playing daily (on average), which dosn't look promising
