Can I just throw raisins in cookie mix?

A friend wants cookies, Oatmeal Raisin. I've got a box of raisins, I've got a oatmeal cookie mix. Can I just mix the two together and bake them together? I feel like raisins shouldn't bake but that's why I'm asking.
