Montopolis for Bachelorette

My friends and I are traveling to Austin for a bachelorette weekend, excited to explore the wonderful city of Austin. We're all mostly from Chicago so no stranger to being aware of our surroundings but from my limited research it seemed like the area we're going to be staying in ,Montopolis , doesn't have a very favorable reputation online.

As with our city of Chicago it's often hard to tell the difference between over dramatization vs. how the locals feel about an area. There's def parts of Chicago I'd recommend staying in over others. The place we're staying looks nice but doesn't have any reviews online which made me feel a little skeptical then I saw it was in Montopolis as well.

If anyone has any thoughts on the area / advice it would be greatly appreciated! Or if you have any recommendations! Looking forward to getting to know Austin and keeping it weird, queer, and respectful!
