Why are my lights flashing intermittently?
Why do my bathroom lights flash intermittently?
My en-suite bathroom has a number of small, presumed LED lights that operate on a motion sensor.
Last week they stopped working. I sourced their power which was a 5v 1amp adapter which ends in a DC barrel connector and splits into 8 wires that power the lights. Seems like it had died.
Since it was 5v I figured I could use an off-the-shelf 5v phone charger and a USB to barrel cable. Seemed to work fine at first but it seems that every 30 mins or so they flash for a moment.
I won’t pretend I know a lot about such things but I thought the lights would just take any amps that they needed. Anyone have any idea why it’s flashing periodically? Thank you!
