need help identifying this piece of metal

i’m wondering if anyone in this community can help me with identifying this piece of metal that got lodged above the driveshaft near the front axel of my 2006 GMC canyon. i want to know if it’s from my truck or just a piece of trash that got kicked up, thanks for any help. and apologies if this kind of post is not allowed
